Integrating technology in teaching


Hello everyone ,
This is my first blog for this year but not the first time i use one. I have opened another one two years ago but still I had some difficulties during the process of following each other. I can say that this will be very helpful for each of us because we are learning a new way of dealing with teaching process through technology. Also it will help us to socialize with one another and to respect everyone's ideas and thoughts.
In my first blog i wrote about technology use in teaching process.
We use technology in everyday life a lot and for different purposes, to get new information , to communicate, for personal issues etc. Nowadays technology has been seen as a great way to be used in classrooms too. Many students find it interesting and challenging too. Students should use technology to learn in their own and with limited help from teachers. This will make them more competitive and curious to search for what they need for. Learning to work with technology and using computer devices gives children the skills and confidence to help them get good jobs when they leave school - and in turn come up with more new technologies. Since they use it evereyday and in every minute means that they are familiar to it and won't find too much difficulties. Technology may help teachers and students to come up with new and interesting ideas how to make the subject more interesting and easy to understand.
Eventhough technology use in classrooms might be a distraction for some students. They may use it for other purposes rather than for the aim of the subject. For example text messages on Facebook may be a source of distraction. Another problem is that not all schools may afford the upgrading equipments, it might be very costly for them.
I think that it is worth proving it and challenging too so why not do it.🙂

    I totally agree. I also had a lot of difficulties in following the others because it was my first blog and i didn’t know how to deal with it. Absolutely i share the same opinion with you about the importance of technology in our lives, and I am very thankful that we had the opportunity to do this subject .

    I totally agree with the statements and of course with the fact that the students may abuse a little bit with the classes online , maybe they could easily be distracted by games or ads.

Design Phase

Hello everyone, This week's topic is about Design Phase. Design plays an importan role when creating or doing PowerPoint presentations. We are coming to an end to our projects and this model helped us a lot. Design phase helps us to organize information , to put in there images, videos ,make it more interesting for the students. There are some factors that influence this phase. I can mention: -outlining the content, -creating flowcharts -specifying screen -design guidelines When we say ' outlining the content' we are talking about  the the target audience, what audience are we going to teach.  If we know that , we'll also know the proper exercises we should prepare for them.  I've finished with the outlining of the content in my project where I've targeted my audience and the way I'm going to teach them.  We all created flowcharts in our presentations. Hi everyone, hope you are doing well. As this week's topic was about the use of multimedia , Gardner's theory of multiple intelligences and Cooperative Learning , I want to take them one by one. We all know that interest in technology education is raising day by day, especially during this last weeks where we can only communicate with one another online. There are a lot of benefits of multimedia learning. We can mention'  a deeper understanding'. We can make relationships between verbal and visual representations and it is easier for us to remember and understand what we are learning in a better way. As teaching deals with human mind it means that it is important to study different kinds of intelligences. This theory can be used for each subject and at any level. Each student comes to the class as an individual and is not forced to think in the same way as others do.
