Design Phase
Hello everyone,
This week's topic is about Design Phase.
Design plays an importan role when creating or doing PowerPoint presentations. We are coming to an end to our projects and this model helped us a lot. Design phase helps us to organize information , to put in there images, videos ,make it more interesting for the students. There are some factors that influence this phase. I can mention:
-outlining the content,
-creating flowcharts
-specifying screen
-design guidelines
When we say ' outlining the content' we are talking about the the target audience, what audience are we going to teach. If we know that , we'll also know the proper exercises we should prepare for them. I've finished with the outlining of the content in my project where I've targeted my audience and the way I'm going to teach them.
We all created flowcharts in our presentations. Almost all of us have created them by using computer programs. I should stress out some of them to be more clear and precise; linear, tree and cluster ones.
Another thing that we should emphasise is screen design. It is the firts thing that is noticed, since it starts from the title, where we have put it , at the top or on the left side. Except that video projects was a great idea of my friend. We decided to put it in a separate slide without other elemnts that may confuse students.
Guidelines are also important to be used.
We have avoided long lines of text because it will be too much information in a slide and students will lose interest. Making icons big enough will help users to easily click on them without having any difficulty. I can say that guidelines make all the project more interesting to be attended.
I found it really interesting and helpful reading about these presentation programs and learning some new things I didn't know before.

The way you have explained the design phase is very clear. I agree with you that we should pay attention to guidelines in order to make a good design. A really good post!
